Fourth Case Management Conference Regarding Proposed Subdivision to Take Place on Tuesday, Nov. 19

A Case Management Conference (CMC) regarding the appeal submitted by CAIVAN (Perth GC) Limited (Case Number OLT-23-000534) was held on Friday, Sept. 13. Representatives for the Town of Perth, Lanark County, and CAIVAN attended the virtual session.

During the CMC, it was noted by the representative for CAIVAN that an updated version of their conceptual draft plan of subdivision (DPS) has been circulated to the other parties, as a result of consultation with the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority. Revisions to the Official Plan Amendment (OPA) and Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) will follow to match the updated concept. All parties requested a fourth CMC be scheduled, with time permitting all Parties’ experts to provide comments or concerns on the revised proposal.

It was agreed by all parties that the revised Draft Procedural Order and Issues List be submitted to the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) by Friday, Nov. 15. The date for the fourth CMC was set for Tuesday, Nov. 19 beginning at 10 a.m. During the CMC, the Tribunal will set an updated deadline for Participant Statement re-submissions based on the revised conceptual DPS, OPA, and ZBA.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the Case Management Conference (Case Number OLT-23-000534) and can join the virtual meeting (Access code: 656-004-293). All attendees are asked to join at least 15 minutes before the start of the event.

A 14-day merit hearing has been scheduled to take place from Monday, Feb.10-Friday, Feb. 28, 2025. Note that the Tribunal will not be sitting on Monday, Feb. 17 in observance of Family Day.

The Town will continue to provide information to the public relating to this OLT hearing as it becomes available, through the Town's website and social media. As the matter is now one of a legal capacity, Town staff and Council are not able to provide comment on the case.
