Public Notice of Intent to Repeal Fees and Charges By-law No. 3675, Pass a New Fees and Charges By-law, Repeal Water and Sewer Rates By-law No. 4029, and Pass a New Water and Sewer Rates By-law

Notice is hereby given that the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Perth will consider a new Fees and Charges By-law, repeal the current Fees and Charges By-law No. 3675, pass a new Water and Sewer Rates By-law and repeal the current Water and Sewer Rates By-law No. 4029. The staff reports that explain the proposed changes to the fees and charges by-law and water and sewer by-law will be included on the February 11, 2025, Committee of the Whole Agenda, with the by-laws being considered by Council at their Regular Meeting on February 18, 2025.

Purpose of the By-law Amendments: The proposed new fees and charges by-law will include the removal, additions and amendments to the fees. The proposed new water and sewer rates by-law will implement the increase to the water and sewer rates as adopted in the 2025 budget, and will result in the following: Water/Sewer Rate Increase: 6%, which for an average consumption would mean an increase of $51.00 for 2025.
