Temporary Parking Prohibition in BIA – Monday, February 17

Due to significant snowfall, the Town of Perth is implementing a temporary parking prohibition within the Downtown Heritage Perth Business Improvement Area (BIA) on Monday, Feb. 17 to ensure public safety and facilitate snow removal.

During this time, parking will be restricted in the following areas:

  • East side of Gore St. E. (between North St. and Craig St.)
  • North side of Foster St. (between Wilson St. W. and Drummond St. E.)

Signage will be in place to help direct motorists. Alternative parking is available on side streets (where permitted—please check posted signage) and in the Town’s municipal lots. Details on available parking lots can be found at Perth.ca/Parking.

The prohibition is necessary due to large snowbanks from continuous snowfall reducing road widths, creating safety concerns for pedestrians and drivers. Snowbank removal operations will begin Monday evening at 10 p.m., starting with the downtown core.

We appreciate the community’s cooperation as we work to clear roadways and ensure safe passage for all.
