Frequently Asked Questions

There are several public parking lots in Perth (bonus - parking is free on weekends!):

  • Wilson Street (located just south of Foster St.)
  • Herriott Street (two lots located on either side of Drummond St.)
  • Tay Basin

Parking is free for two hours on Town streets within the BIA. Side streets are available for parking as well unless otherwise marked.

We recommend arriving early, and if you live in Town, we recommend walking/cycling if you can.

  • Town Hall - open daily 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. 
  • Perth Museum & Visitor Information - open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • The Perth & District Union Public Library - open Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

  • Warm clothing and outerwear
  • Appropriate footwear for walking downtown and walking through the snowy parks
  • Skates
  • Helmet (Required for children under 12 for skating and tubing, and recommended for all ages!
  • And a swimsuit if you plan to visit the pool!

Most events are being held outdoors, so be sure to dress accordingly! Equipment rentals are not available in Perth, so if you'd like to partake in skating or snowshoeing, please bring the right equipment.

Best Western Plus Perth Parkside Inn & Spa and Nevis Estate Boutique Hotel as well as additional motels along HWY 7. Several independent vacation rentals are available in Perth, too.

Visit the Perth Museum & Visitor Information Centre from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. during the event. You'll find event info, Perth info, maps, brochures, and friendly faces to help you find what you are looking for. Even public washrooms and a first aid kit! There is a defibrillator inside as well.
