Revised Waste Collection Schedule | Week of December 22
Our pick-up schedules for recycling, organics, and garbage are getting a little shuffle for the week of December 22.
Your New Pick-Up Dates:
North Zone - Recycling/Organics - Tuesday, Dec. 24
South Zone - Recycling/Organics - Thursday, Dec. 26
North Zone - Garbage - Friday, Dec. 27
This change is just for the holidays. We'll be back to our regular schedule the following week.

On Tuesday, December 10, the Council of the Town of Perth approved the 2025 Budget. This decision follows careful and extensive deliberation; as Council worked to address mounting infrastructure needs, inflationary pressures, and declining reserves, while continuing to deliver essential services for residents and businesses.
A collaboration of Lanark County community partners is inviting parents, guardians, and caregivers to a special community meeting aimed at providing support and resources in the wake of recent events. This meeting will take place on Monday, December 2, at 7 p.m. at the Perth Legion, 26 Beckwith St. E, Perth, with an option to attend virtually via Zoom.
The Town of Perth acknowledges questions and concerns from the community regarding the ongoing appeal case submitted by CAIVAN (Perth GC) Limited (Case Number OLT-23-000534) before the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT).

On Wednesday, local representatives met at the Central Perth Playground – known to locals as the Mill Street Playground – to celebrate a $140,000 Capital grant they received from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF to fund new equipment for the Mill Street Playground structures. The project was completed on June 17, 2024 and provides a space for all to revel in, whether they are from Perth, its neighbouring counties, and beyond.

A Case Management Conference (CMC) regarding the appeal submitted by CAIVAN (Perth GC) Limited (Case Number OLT-23-000534) was held on Friday, Sept. 13. Representatives for the Town of Perth, Lanark County, and CAIVAN attended the virtual session.
Town of Perth Fire Chief Trevor Choffe and Assistant Fire Chief Andy Moore take their dad jokes to a new level with the launch of their ‘Hey, Andy!’ campaign, a series of social media videos that use humour with a twist. The campaign’s goal relays the message that fire safety is no joke.
