Perth is located in Lanark County in the heart of Eastern Ontario's Rideau River Corridor halfway between Ottawa (the Nation's Capital) and Kingston.

Ottawa is approximately 80 kilometers to the northeast and Smiths Falls is 24 kilometers to the east.

Coming from Ottawa, take Highway 7 West. From the Highway 417 ramp to Perth, it will take approximately 40 minutes to enter Perth's Gateway.

From Kingston, visitors can get here by taking County Road 10 from Westport or take the Highway 15 exit ramp off Highway 401. Follow the signs leading you to Perth!

If you are coming by bike, make sure you check out the Cycling in Perth page on the website!

Did you know Perth is accessible by water? Take a turn at Beveridges Lockstation and meander through the Tay River to Perth.

The Tay Canal links Perth to the Rideau Lakes system. Many boaters enjoy the scenic trip up the canal to dock at Perth during the summer months. Overnight docking, shore power and access to washrooms is available by request. Learn more about how to book and fees on our Boating and Docks page.

To assist in your travels, Friends of the Tay have compiled essential information on bridge heights, canal depths, and more in their pamphlet Navigating the Tay Canal.

Please note that the campground at Last Duel Park closed in 2019.
